Palette
Palette is an AP Computer Science Project from 2018. My role as lead artist was to curate and implement art. Palette is a rhythm fighter java based game where the player aims to defeat the "fearsome" boss by depleting his health. The player can only attack the boss when attacks are correctly timed with the bpm of the song playing. A "perfect" lands a rainbow attack, whilst an "ok" will land a normal slash attack. The player can also avoid further damage by dodging the boss. The story revolves around the heroine and player character, named Hue. Besieged by the creatures drawn to her power, the crystal castle lay vandalized and in ruin. The people turned to paint and so the castle fell, but from the splotched palette does a shade of hope arise. Hue must wield her weapons with care as she will also face the same fate as the blobbed blasphemies, if she fails to reclaim her throne.
